35mm to Linocut experiment
A few years ago for father’s day my family took a trip to the park. I brought my film camera along and took a few sweet photos of my brother and dad.
At the time, I was also taking a printmaking class in school, so i brought one of the photos in to make into a linocut block. Lino printing is essentially carving an image into a rubber block and then using the block like a stamp to create prints on paper.
It was so fun to watch my brother go from a cute photograph to a print edition!
