Road Trip to Armour, S. Dakota
This is the route I took from New Jersey to Armour, South Dakota. Armour is a small town in the southeast part of the state. This small town has a population of less than 700 people and is where my Poppop grew up as a kid in the 30s and 40s.
I was here once before when I was a little but getting to see it as an adult and meet some of my distant family was pretty awesome! My Poppop’s cousin, Gail, took me around town and showed me the farmstead where my grandfather grew up. I got to see the farmland that my family still owns today and met the farmers who farm the land for us.
One major highlight was getting to drive Gail’s Tractor around the property!
