Sam and I have been friends for almost 20 years and in 2017 we were lucky enough to get to travel through Europe together! After my solo travel study abroad experience in Italy 2015, I was eager to share so many new places with her (especially because we both have Italian ancestors!). So, we made an itinerary, bought tickets and flew across the pond for 3 weeks to explore a few major cities in Spain, Italy, Ireland, Germany, and the Netherlands.
Aside from getting to experience a cool new place together, I was also really excited to have a travel buddy to help navigate, make plans, and troubleshoot when things inevitably went sideways (and spoiler alert, they did). But to be honest, our biggest mistakes ended up being our funniest travel stories.
